Question 1

What types of hair extensions do you offer?

Accepted Answer

The booking menu lists tape-in installs, per-row installs, maintenance move-ups and removals. Methods and the hair used vary by stylist, so ask the stylist you want which they install and which suits your hair.

Question 2

How often do extensions need to be moved up?

Accepted Answer

Maintenance move-ups are listed separately and booked again every few months. Ask your stylist how often yours will need moving up, based on the method you choose and how your hair grows.

Question 3

Will extensions affect my natural hair?

Accepted Answer

Any extension method adds weight and needs proper upkeep, so your stylist will look at the condition of your hair at the consultation and tell you what they recommend and what care is required. Ask about the specific method you are considering.

Question 4

How long does an extension appointment take?

Accepted Answer

The length is on the listing you book. Several extension rows on the current menu are scheduled at four hours, including the tape-in install and the new-install rows; maintenance rows vary. Scheduling depends on your stylist, so book a consultation first.

Question 5

How do I care for my extensions at home?

Accepted Answer

Care depends on the method used, so ask your stylist for their aftercare instructions — including which products to use, how to brush and wash, and how to sleep in them.

Question 6

Can the hair be reused, coloured or heat-styled?

Accepted Answer

Reuse, colouring and heat limits depend on the hair used and the method installed. Ask your stylist what applies to your hair before colouring or heat-styling it, and have any colour work done in the salon.

Question 7

Do you offer treatments as well as extensions?

Accepted Answer

Conditioning and smoothing treatments are booked as their own services. Ask which treatments the stylist you want currently offers, what they involve and what they cost.
